I had to pick an actual minute so I picked 5:35 because I know it was between 5:30 and 5:40 but I don't know the exact minute. It was probably around 5:35 versus 40 but I don't know the exact minute.

I was sitting in my car facing west letting it warm up. I saw a flash I didn't actually see the explosion if you want to call it that but a light entered my car and I leaned down and looked up into the sky in the northwest and I saw this meteor fall toward the Earth. It was white and bright and thicker than any meteor I've ever seen and it lasted between 5 and 10 seconds. It fizzled out before it hit the Earth. and I've seen shooting stars before. I did not think this was a shooting star because of that flash and because of the thickness and brightness and what appeared to be the closeness of this falling object. Another thing that made me think it wasn't a meteor was because it was completely vertical I've only seen them shoot across the sky. It seemed so close I assumed it was something over St Louis. I thought maybe a satellite exploded or something LOL I didn't know what it was but it never occurred to me that it was a meteor because of its brightness whiteness thickness closeness and the fact that it was completely vertical.
