This was not like recurring meteor showers where the objects are as bright as a star and very quick moving. This was *much* brighter and larger, and a little slower moving. It was a classic fireball like you can find in videos all over the web. It was by far the biggest I've seen in my 57 years. It was cool! :-D

It had a glowing tail following it as it burned up going through the atmosphere.
I saw what looked like small bits becoming detached and burning/glowing independently quite quickly before disappearing. These were mostly bright flashes within the tail.
