Looked like a shooting star or a firework but bigger that burst up with a Smokey yellowish trail, but no sound and travelling a lot faster than a firework, was very confused

Looked like it burst into a few sizzling balls like a firework before disappearing, then nothing! Very bright and obvious in the dark sky.
