The cell tower I referenced in my comments is the best perspective I can give you. If someone can give you a better perspective of the distance in the daylight it would give you a better idea.

It is hard to pinpoint some of the details because we are in the mountains and the fireball dissipated out of our line of vision because our vision was obscured by a mountain. I can say that there is a cell tower with three red lights visible on that mountain from that part of the interstate and when we first spotted the fireball it appeared just to the left of the second light from the top of the tower and disappeared from our view just below the 3rd red light from the top of the tower before we lost visibility behind the mountain. The trail was only visible for a second or two after the main fireball went behind the mountain. Very hard to guess how long it was.
