The time of 8pm PST is approximate, give or take 30 minutes. I have seen many shooting stars before but nothing like this. It was incredible to see. I was sitting with a group of 6 people outside on the patio and I was the only one that happened to be looking up to the desert sky and was the only one to see it. They didn't believe me : -)

flashed like a bottle rocket with a very sharp piece that split off from the fireball to the upper left (or 10 o'clock direction) and poof it was gone
